Default Austria T-Mobile Bundesliga Weekend 06-07/08/05

Austria T-Mobile Bundesliga 06/08/05
Wacker Modling - SV Mattersburg
Pick: under 2.75 goals ( ! )
Price: 1.93
Bookie: Pinnacle
Stake: 6/10

Wacker Modling Team News:
no important injuries

Wacker Modling Analysis:
Wacker Modling is so far 4 times defeated out of the first 4 fixtures and did not convince so far. Their defense is pretty good while the midfield is simply bad and the offense is missing chances after chances and simply does not reflect a level of strikers which are playing in a first division team. Without any doubt, Wacker would have been able to score more often than they did especially against opponents like Sturm Graz or Innsbruck which are known for having not the best defences.
In their last fixture against Innsbruck, Modling showed what kind of problems their offense has and I cannot see them scoring here more often than one time.

Wacker Modling supposed lineup:
Mandl - Osoinik, Akoto, Pircher, Panis - Thonhofer, Flögel, M. Wagner, Horvath - Bule, Wallner

SV Mattersburg Team News:
no important injuries

SV Mattersburg Analysis:
SV Mattersburg is winless so far but they were simply in poor luck against the topteams from Vienna ( Austria ) and Grazer AK. In both games they played very nice and showed good performances hitting the row in both games again. Without any doubt, the strongest performance of Mattersburg is expected to be brought at home, but it seems as they are becoming more and more confident even on the road.
Mattersburg has a quite solid defense which reflects the fact that even teams like Grazer AK at home only managed to score one goal while Austria Vienna, probably the most powerful attacking team in Austria, scored only 2 goals of which one was very lucky. With Mattersburg performances so far I see them hardly receiving a goal while they could be able to score one time in my oppinion here.

SV Mattersburg supposed lineup:
Borenitsch - Ratajczyk - Mravac, Patocka - Kaintz, Kühbauer, Mörz, Schmidt, Fuchs - Th. Wagner/C. Ivanschitz, Bürger

Final Analysis:
I cannot see this game ending up in a highscoring game and as I see the line set by 2 3/4 by Pinnacle I cannot hesistate to take a medium bet on this under to a valuable price.

Austria T-Mobile Bundesliga 07/08/05
Sturm Graz – Red Bull Salzburg
Pick: Sturm Graz +1/4
Price: 1.90
Bookie: PointBet
Stake: 8/10

Sturm Graz Team News:
Sturm Graz has no important worries ahead of this fixture.

Sturm Graz Analysis:
Sturm Graz is playing constantly well in the new season so far beeing still undefeated in the new season. In their last away game against Superfund Sturm Graz was a bit unlucky as one goal for Superfund was not regular but was given although. Looking back on the whole game, Sturm Graz played much better, especially in the second half where they were able to score twice and beeing unlucky not to score a third goal. Filipovic (mf, ** ) made a nice freekick goal and it is fair to say Graz looked more solid and simply the better team in the second half. Especially their midfield was better than Superfund’s and all in all the fair result would have been an away win for Sturm Graz.
For this game, Graz is able to choose from the same squad as against Superfund and should be at their highest level as there are no doubts about fitness or so for any of the Grazer players so far.
Sturm Graz performed very well lately and I doubt they are going to lose today.

Sturm Graz supposed lineup:
Szamotulski - Neukirchner, Silvestre/Mörec, Verlaat, Gercaliu - Nzuzi, Filipovic, Ledwon, J. Säumel, Sarac - Tsimba/Rottensteiner

Red Bull Salzburg Team News:
Markus Schopp ( mf, ** ) is out due to suspension because of an red-card.
Alexander Zickler ( off, **/*** ) is doubtful because of an injury he got in the last training.

Red Bull Salzburg Analysis:
Red Bull Salzburg lost in their last game to Rapid Vienna 0-2. They received an red card in the 30th minute but still they were not playing really well. Their midfield showed the problems they had in the first game as well while their offensive players were not that powerful. All in one, the loss was fair and Salzburg simply did not play convincing in that game against one of the top-teams of Austria and it seems as they have still problems to become a real team.
For this game, they have midfield Schopp ( mf, ** ) out which is a big blow same as Zickler ( off, **/*** ) is very doubtful for this game, at least he won’t be a 100% fit for sure as he got injured in the last training. With these two problems Salzburg is seriously weakened in my oppinion and especially on the road they were not able to convince me so far. Their midfield showed big problems against strong counterattacking teams like Sturm Graz and I cannot see Salzburg getting more out of this fixture than a draw.

Red Bull Salzburg supposed lineup:
Arzberger - Winklhofer, Knavs, von Schwedler, Pichorner - Mair, Aufhauser, Carboni, Kirchler - Zickler/Janko, Mayrleb

Final Analysis:
The line moved from +0 to +1/4 for Sturm Graz and I cannot hesistate to take a high bet on Graz with this handicap here. With the team problems for Salzburg and Sturm Graz beeing highflying at the moment, I rate this handicap as wrong and I think the +0 line was fair for this game but now we have some nice value in this pick.
